Damian Wojnowski ist ein Künstler, der in Polen in der Stadt Częstochowa geboren ist. Er ist ausgebildeter Musiker und Beschäftigungstherapeut.

Damian Wojnowski is an artist born in Poland in the city
of Częstochowa. A trained musician and occupational therapist. Since his youth, he has been absorbed by his passion for painting and his love for drawing. On a daily basis, he conducts art therapy classes with elderly and intellectually disabled people. Through sculpture, painting, music and singing, therapy participants open access to their interior: emotions, needs and fears. Additionally, he conducts creativity workshops for children, teenagers and adults, triggering their creativity and often arousing their interest in art and painting. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Silesian Faun Art Association in Gliwice, where he successfully pursues his passion by participating in numerous collective and individual exhibitions. A number of his works are in private collections. Wojnowski cooperates with galleries in Gdynia, Warsaw and Wrocław and also participates in auctions of Polish contemporary art.
Damian Wojnowski’s painting is a magical and often surprising journey between worlds, where, like in an alchemist’s workshop, a pinch of fantasy and dreams intertwine with the not always idyllic reality. As the artist himself emphasizes, his works are an attempt to capture the mood of the moment, stop time for a moment and give ordinary activities and things an element of magic. Drawing us into his vision of the world, Wojnowski treats us to subtle humor, often laced with reflection and reverie. The artist has the ability to penetratingly observe people, the relationships they create, their thoughts, character and state of mind. The artist’s paintings are extremely colorful and optimistic. “I create an imaginary world of my experiences and emotions. Sometimes I transport the audience to a fairy-tale, gentle reality, as when in one painting we see a sitting little boy looking into the distance. This „Little Prince“ may dream of finding a special being who could become his friend and make his life make sense. Other times I take viewers to a surreal space, unfortunately ruled by machines that transport people in time, fortune telling, playing cards and glass balls. But I always leave the interpretation to the recipients,“ explains the author.
